Hi all
More than a dozen of us were out in Ballyfermot at the IPF National Shield Inter-Club competition and we had the biggest smiles when it was announced that Malahide Camera Club were awarded 2ND BEST CLUB OVERALL this year. We achieved 2nd in Monochrome and 4th in the Colour !! We finished just 7 points (less than 1%) behind Dundalk, who are currently holders of the World Cup for Camera Clubs.
This is a fantastic result for the Club and it did not happen by accident. The Selection Committee of Mark, Roisin, Patricia and Paul worked superbly well. They also had great support from you the members in submitting high quality images which were recognised by the committee of judges today. The judges were fulsome in praise of our images and in particular great news for Andrew Tisdall who won the Bronze Medal for his image on the Monochrome panel. I have attached both the panels and the score sheets from today.
We'll mark this appropriately in the club over the next couple of weeks however the news is worth sharing immediately so that you can all raise a glass of your favourite tipple to celebrate a great team effort from the club.
Well done to you all and you should all take a bow !
