Happy New Year to all members; friends and supporters of MRFC. Hopefully you all enjoyed the TV rugby over the holiday period which saw the green shoots of a competitive four province Ireland again. I trust Des Dillon and Kami particularly savoured the Ulster revival.

Malahide U14s will contest their league semi-final play-off away to Clontarf on Sunday 18th January. KO time to be confirmed. We are hopeful that we will have plenty of support from families and friends on the day. Training this Wednesday (7 January) is on in the OLD clubhouse between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

There were four of our U18's representing Malahide RFC in the Metro squad this weekend.

Malahide U14s have qualified for the the league semi-finals and will face Clontarf away early in the New Year. They emerged from a very tough group, winning eight of their nine matches so far this season. Qualifying represents a fantastic achievement and is a richly deserved reward for the tremendous effort they have put in so far.

Malahide U14s finished their league campaign on a high with a superb away victory over a talented Wesley side. The result ensures that they finished in the top two delivering the as yet unconfirmed reward of a play-off for the league in the New Year.

To all members and friends,

I would like to invite every rugby club member to a party on 19th December 2008. The fun starts at 8pm and finger food will be served up to 11pm with a disco and dancing to late.
