Our awards night was held on Thursday 28th June at the Grand Hotel.
We had three excellent judges from Celbridge Camera Club to judge our Photographer and Image of The Year competitions.
Cyrus Sangari judged the Colour Slide Photographer of The Year competition which was won by Eamon O'Murchu.
Edel Moran judged the Colour Print Photographer of The Year competition which was won by Deirdre Gaffney.
Declan Hancock judged the Monochrome Photographer of The Year competition which was won by Gerry Morgan.
The three judges then got their heads together and picked a single image as our Image of The Year. This was won by Shay Farrelly's image of a beach scene (Little Miss Chatterbox), beating his colour print of a terrier (Suzi) and Helen McEvoy's slide of an architectural scene.Our league winners were also announced and presentations were made to the winners.
Our Novice Section was won by Noel Early.
Our Intermediate Section was won by Keith Wilkinson.
The winner in the Advanced Section was Gerry Morgan. Promotions were also announced.
Noel Early is promoted from Novice to Intermediate.
Keith Wilkinson, John Lowes and Shay Farrelly are promoted from Intermediate to Advanced. Congratulations to all! |
