Malahide Camera Club
(hereinafter referred to as “MCC”) has as aims the following:
To promote photography in MCC
To foster and encourage communication between persons interested in photography
To promote education classes, workshops, exhibitions and other activities of interest to photographers.
To encourage education in and to raise and maintain standards of photography in MCC
In order to achieve these aims it is necessary to collect personal data from our members, visitors, and those involved in the promotion of MCC’s aims.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect personal information from you when you register as a member, attend meetings, participate in MCC events (workshops / AGM / competitions etc.) enter an exhibition, receive payments online though online banking or access our additional online services, Paypal, Facebook page, WhatsApp Groups and www.malahidecameraclub.com. Website usage information may be collected using Cookies.
How will we use the information about you?
We collect information about you to process your membership application, communicate with you and manage your membership. Information provided on exhibition entry forms is sometimes used to create signage and exhibition catalogues. Your information is shared in order for MCC to communicate with you via email and bank details may be shared with our Bank to process online payments e.g. for reimbursement of expenses or deposits etc.
Marketing
Your information may be used for promoting the MCC (Facebook, Website etc.) , at exhibitions, MCC events and meetings. If you have agreed to receive marketing you can always opt out at a later date.
Access to your own information and correction
MCC would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request MCC for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that MCC correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Our Company to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that MCC erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that MCC restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to MCC’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that MCC transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

Retention Policy
Applications Forms submitted on paper will be shredded after the end of the MCC Year, i.e. Application forms submitted at the start of the MCC year September 2026 will be shredded by 31-October 2027.
Electronic information will be held to provide the services above and in line with policies for our financial obligations i.e. 7 years. If you wish to be forgotten from our records, please contact us at malahidecameraclub@gmail.com and request that we remove all reference to you contained in our records.
